I've been learning Godot for about a week now. I did Brackey's food no salt tutorial and wanted to do something else when I was done.

I found this great developer named Heartbeast and followed along his tutorial on youTube. He has 230K followers so I assumed he knew what he was doing.

The tutorial was quick and easy. Coming from Unreal Engine development, Godot was a breath of fresh air. Not that I'm switching completely, because most of my jobs require UE, but for small solo projects, this might be the way to go.

Play the game! Try to get your own high score. It gradually gets harder the more you score. Good luck and have fun!

Got about 850 points. The difficult scales up a ton past 300 something points but I like it!

Not much to comment on, it's a pretty simple but enjoyable game. If I had to give some feedback I would say you should give some sort of power ups to the player to allow them to get higher scores. Something to allow for longer sessions at high skill ceilings.

Hey that's good input! Now that I think of it, I should've strayed from the tutorial to make powerups. I made a space shooter in Unity many years ago when I was first starting off with game engine development, and it had a triple shot, speed boost and shield powerup! Maybe I can try with this if I can confidently make it!
